A housing design competition for small-scale poultry farming in Asia
In collaboration with Food and Agriculture Organization Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (FAORAP), Federation of Asian Veterinary Associations (FAVA) is delighted to announce the launch of
“A housing design competition for small-scale farming in Asia”
Under the theme: Biosecurity towards infection prevention and improved livelihood
The call for the entries is now open for those (individuals or teams) who are interested to submit a housing design for small-scale farming in Asia. Entries must highlight designs reinforcing the implementation of the biosecurity measures for small-scale producers/farmers, but are also cost-efficient, compatible with local conditions and settings, and socio-culturally acceptable overall (See Annex 1 of RULES AND CONDITIONS for further information). The submission closes at 17:00:00 p.m. (Indochina Time) on 13 November 2020. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.

• 1st prize: USD 3,000
• 2nd prize: USD 2,000
• 3rd prize: USD 1,000

Eligibility and specifications at a glance:
1. Eligibility: The Contest is open to individuals (“Entrants”) or group of individuals who have reached the age of 18 at the time of entering the Contest.
2. Entry specifications: Submissions are expected to be clear schematic design for a small-scale poultry housing concept, which carefully takes into account the specifications relevant to biosecurity requirements.
3. Submission of entries: Entrants can submit existing design or original works for which they are the sole creator or have collaborated with others.
